Dr. Leon Tom, BS, DC, CCSP, DAAPM
Dean of Clinics
Dr. Tom was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He obtained his BS in Mathematics in 1995 from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He graduated from Parker University College of Chiropractic in 1999 and served the community of North Texas for six years before joining the Parker faculty in 2005, where he holds the position of clinic doctor as an assistant professor of clinics. Dr. Tom has been performing independent medical exams (IME) since 2001 and is certified in the assignment of impairment ratings. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, is certified in acupuncture, and obtained a diplomate from the American Academy of Pain Management.
Mike Raper, DC, DABCO, DAAPM, DABFE, DABDA, DCP
Professor
After graduating from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1987, Dr. Raper immediately entered private practice and pursued post-graduate training for his Diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics. He started Impairment Rating Consultants in 1990, and has since been performing impairment ratings, second opinion evaluations, and expert court witnessing in the state of Texas. He started his own impairment rating seminar series in conjunction with the Texas Chiropractic Association. He has also performed seminars for Texas Chiropractic College, Parker College of Chiropractic, Texas Council of Chiropractic Orthopedics, Northwestern Health Sciences University, and Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was a consultant for the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners hired Dr. Raper to be a consultant to help administer the Part IV Examination. Dr. Raper is presently on the Board of Directors for the Texas Chiropractic Association, District 5, and president for the Dallas County Chiropractic Society. He is also a member of American Association of Integrative Medicine, American College of Forensic Examiners, National Board of Forensic Chiropractors, Council on Chiropractic Orthopedics, Parker Alumni Association, and American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Raper worked for Parker College of Chiropractic from 1992 to 1998 and again from 2005 to the present. He also has chaired numerous committees and is a full professor in rank. Dr. Raper is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada.
Dr. Davis McAlister, DC
Dr. McAlister is a Clinic Faculty Doctor for the Parker University Clinic, beginning in 2017. Dr. McAlister earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in 2003 and has been in practice for 16 years. In 2008, he took over as the Health Science Program Coordinator for Little Elm Independent School District, as well as coaching football, powerlifting, track, and baseball, and operating as the district strength and conditioning coach. He moved to Bridgeport, TX, in 2013, to continue serving in the same capacity, in addition to serving as an Assistant Principal and an Adjunct Professor for Weatherford College, teaching Anatomy and Physiology. During his career in public education, he has received numerous awards for teaching, curriculum development, and for coaching athletes to the state level of competition. He has focused primarily on sports-related injuries for the past 10+ years. Dr. McAlister has been a team doctor for various high school sports teams and both pro- and semi-pro sports teams. Dr. McAlister served in Military Intelligence for the US Army from 1991-1999 as a Human Intelligence Specialist and linguist. After his military service, he attended Mississippi State University to earn his bachelor’s degree in Science, played football, and was the Founding President of the MSU Chapter of Epsilon Tau Sigma, National Veterans Fraternity. Dr. McAlister has also earned a bachelor’s degree in Anatomy from Parker University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Sul Ross State University and holds a Principal Administrator Certification from the Texas State Board of Education. He also has certifications in Adaptive Rehabilitation, 100-hour acupuncture, concussion, and kettlebell. Dr. McAlister is excited to bring his extensive field and educational experiences to Parker University. He specializes in chiropractic treatment for sports-related injuries, rehabilitation, taping, and soft-tissue.
Dr. Gary Tam, DC
Dr. Tam, a practicing clinician and university educator with 18 years of experience in patient care, is certified in soft tissue techniques and functional movement systems, as well as fellowship trained in acupuncture with advanced course work in dry needling. Prior to joining the Parker University faculty, Dr. Tam served as the Director of Physical Services for a CARF facility, that focused on a multi- disciplinary evidence- based approach to the treatment of chronic pain in an outpatient setting. Dr. Tam, his wife, and two children, who reside in the DFW area, actively participate in their community through volunteerism. He is an advocate for life-long learning, incorporating it both professionally and personally.
Dr. David Walters, DC, DACRB

Dr. Walters began his dedicated service to Parker in 1996 and is currently serving as a clinic faculty doctor and the IP2 Course Director at Parker University Chiropractic Wellness Clinic at the Dallas location. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University College of Chiropractic in 1991. Dr. Walters is a Texas native, happily married since 1977 and has three adult children. His wife, Colleen Walters, is a Doctor of Optometry. He is a full Professor in rank, has previously served as a POD Director and has participated in numerous committees throughout his employment with Parker University. Dr. Walters received his Diplomate in Chiropractic Rehabilitation in 2001 and a specialist certification in Corrective Exercise from the National Association of Sports Medicine in 2008. He completed the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 2009. He is also a Kinesio Tape and Functional Kinetic Treatment practitioner. In addition to working at Parker University, he has owned and maintained a private practice in Irving, TX from 1994 until 2010.
Dr. Ramón Negrete, DC
Dr. Negrete has 20 years’ experience performing axial and non-axial manipulation of spine and extremities, for conditions such as facet syndromes, radiculopathy, disc disorders, or connective tissue diseases; reviewing medical histories and /or therapies used in conjunction with chiropractic treatment; and /or diagnosing, managing, and treating disorders of the spine and extremities. I have worked hand by hand in a multidisciplinary consortium of 49 healthcare experts, have experience working with patients to recover after injuries, improve overall health, and reduce or eliminate pain. To create customized treatment plans for patients suffering from a wide variety of non-surgical and post- surgical musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, rotator cuff tears, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, bursitis, tendonitis, joint pains, sprains, lower back pain, and more. Providing chiropractic manipulations of the spine and joints using Diversified technique, Thompson technique, flexion distraction protocols, sacro- occipital technique, kinesiotape methods and focus on strengthening deep core musculature, breaking up scar tissue to increase range of motion, and guiding patients through kinetic and weight-based exercises in a friendly and hospitable environment. Dr. Joshua Marquis, DC
Dr. Joshua Marquis graduated from Parker Chiropractic College in April of 2015 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He is originally from northeast Louisiana where he attended Louisiana Tech University until moving to Texas in 2011 to attend Parker. He enjoys working with soft tissue to get patients back to doing the things they love. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, shooting guns, being outside, and playing video games. He currently lives in Arlington, TX with his wife, Chesney, and his daughter, Maibrie, where we attend The Church on Rush Creek.
Dr. Angel Kemmerer, DC
Dr. Kemmerer grew up in Little Elm, Texas. She attended University of Mary Hardin Baylor, where she played soccer and received a Bachelor of Science in cell biology with an exercise sports science minor. After graduation from Mary Hardin Baylor, Dr. Kemmerer attended Parker University. Becoming a chiropractor had been her dream ever since a high school injury, where she was able to experience first-hand how quickly myofascial work could heal injuries. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University in 2015 and graduated cum laude. Dr. Kemmerer holds multiple certifications, including Fascial Distortion Model, sports taping, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, acupuncture board certified, and dry needling. As a former athlete, Dr. Kemmerer understands the importance of getting back into sports or activities injury free. Her heart’s desire is to help athletes and non-athletes alike get better and back to their passions.

Dr. Sanford earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1990. After graduation he practiced as an associate doctor in Houston, Texas before entering private practice in Corpus Christi where he was a designated doctor and participated in Leadership Corpus Christi. He joined Parker Chiropractic College in 1995 where he served as a Clinic Faculty Doctor and gradually transitioned to course director for Internship I, II and III. He later served as chairperson of Clinical Studies and Applications and served on the Curriculum Committee. Dr. Sanford was mobilized by the United States Army in 2003 and retired from military service in 2008. He returned to Parker College of Chiropractic as a Clinic Faculty Doctor and was later selected to be the Director of Compliance and Operations. As the director he is responsible for clinic operations, facilities, and equipment. Dr. Sanford is also responsible for clinic documentation, coding, billing, insurance, and compliance. He is an instructor for the Documentation Course and Clinic Orientation preparing new interns for clinic. He also assists new doctors’ transition to the clinic team and is a continuing education instructor.

Dr. Campbell is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Parker University. He has lived in Dallas for the last 12 years. He practiced in Highland Park, TX where he focused on Wellness, Sports, and Family care. There he used a multi-faceted approach to healthcare utilizing soft tissue therapies, strength and conditioning, and nutritional support to complement the chiropractic adjustment. He returned to Parker in 2018 as a Clinic Doctor eager to assist future doctors in applying their education in real world patient care and preparing them for successful careers in the Chiropractic field.
Dr. Nicky Kirk, DC
Dr. Nicky Kirk is an award-winning and visionary chiropractic sports physician who works internationally with the top performance practitioners in sports medicine, nutrition, psychology, and strength and conditioning. Dr. Kirk’s multi-skilled approach has built for him a stellar career that includes consulting as a regional adviser for the Gatorade Sports Science Institutes in the Caribbean and Latin America. Dr. Kirk’s multiple degrees, diplomas, and hours of hands-on experience have allowed him to provide top-of-the-line support and sports medicine services to both professional athletes and high-level organizations. In addition to his consultancy work, Dr Kirk also utilizes his knowledge and influence to provide education about health, movement, and performance to developmental athletes at both clubs and schools in the USA, Europe, and the Caribbean. Dr Kirk commenced with Parker University as a clinic faculty doctor in December of 2018 and is proud to be able to add his experience and knowhow to the clinical education experience of the interns and help provide guidance in offering outstanding patient care to the patients of the Parker Wellness Clinic.

Dr. Danika Mamon, DC
Dr. Danika Mamon was born in Grambling, Louisiana and is a graduate of Grambling State University. She obtained a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Community Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Mamon is a graduate of Parker University and had the opportunity to complete her clinical rotation abroad at UNIVERSIDAD ESTATAL DEL VALLE DE ECATEPEC in Mexico.Dr. Mamon has experience working in multi-disciplinary and injury rehabilitation clinics. Since becoming Clinic Faculty at Parker her passion for health and wellness continues to grow. She is certified in Fascial Distortion Model Upper and Lower Regions, Graston Technique Levels M1-M2, and is a RockTape Level I and II provider. Her community involvement includes being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and mentoring students who have an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Dr. John Spencer, DC
Dr. Spencer graduated from Parker University in 1987. After graduation he practiced in the metroplex with a group of Doctors for a couple of years. He then moved back to his hometown of Amarillo in the Texas panhandle in 1990 where he opened my own Chiropractic office. He would practice there for the next 27 years with great success. During that time, he served on the Texas Chiropractic Association as a District 2 President and as a State Director. Had the honor of winning the President’s award. He and his wife moved back to the metroplex to be closer to family and today have the honor to work for Parker University Clinics as a Faculty Clinic Doctor, continuing to serve the public with Chiropractic care and helping mentor the next generation of Chiropractors.

Dr. Robin Gregory started practice in Wichita, Ks in 2007 after graduating from Parker University, her focus has been in pediatrics, pregnancy, and family care. Dr. Gregory joined the Parker Wellness Clinics in May of 2019 where she is a Clinic Faculty Doctor and is honored to work with interns preparing them for CBI and practice.

Providing chiropractic manipulations of the spine and joints using Diversified technique, Thompson technique, flexion distraction protocols, sacro- occipital technique, kinesiotape methods and focus on strengthening deep core musculature, breaking up scar tissue to increase range of motion, and guiding patients through kinetic and weight-based exercises in a friendly and hospitable environment. Providing chiropractic care to the elderly, children and special need patients with low impact- low velocity instrument adjustments using Activator protocol and myofascial release technique, focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health; with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.
Dr. John Spencer, DC
Dr. Spencer graduated from Parker University in 1987. After graduation he practiced in the metroplex with a group of Doctors for a couple of years. He then moved back to his hometown of Amarillo in the Texas panhandle in 1990 where he opened my own Chiropractic office. He would practice there for the next 27 years with great success. During that time, he served on the Texas Chiropractic Association as a District 2 President and as a State Director. Had the honor of winning the President’s award. He and his wife moved back to the metroplex to be closer to family and today have the honor to work for Parker University Clinics as a Faculty Clinic Doctor, continuing to serve the public with Chiropractic care and helping mentor the next generation of Chiropractors.
Dr. Joshua Marquis, DC
Dr. Joshua Marquis graduated from Parker Chiropractic College in April of 2015 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He is originally from northeast Louisiana where he attended Louisiana Tech University until moving to Texas in 2011 to attend Parker. He enjoys working with soft tissue to get patients back to doing the things they love. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, shooting guns, being outside, and playing video games. He currently lives in Arlington, TX with his wife, Chesney, and his daughter, Maibrie, where we attend The Church on Rush Creek.
Dr. Cliff Collins, DC
No matter your age or activity level, Dr. Collins’ main goal is to help you get back to doing the activities you love. His philosophy can be summed up in the following quote:“I care just as much about getting grandma to the mailbox and back safely as I do about getting an athlete back out on the field.”Dr. Collins is typically sought out by patients for his comprehensive approach that combines chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and corrective exercise. He has advanced training in many of today’s top therapies (ART and FDM), assessment tools (FMS and SFMA), and diplomate programs (orthopedics and rehabilitation).
Dr. Angel Kemmerer, DC
Dr. Kemmerer grew up in Little Elm, Texas. She attended University of Mary Hardin Baylor, where she played soccer and received a Bachelor of Science in cell biology with an exercise sports science minor. After graduation from Mary Hardin Baylor, Dr. Kemmerer attended Parker University. Becoming a chiropractor had been her dream ever since a high school injury, where she was able to experience first-hand how quickly myofascial work could heal injuries. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University in 2015 and graduated cum laude. Dr. Kemmerer holds multiple certifications, including Fascial Distortion Model, sports taping, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, acupuncture board certified, and dry needling. As a former athlete, Dr. Kemmerer understands the importance of getting back into sports or activities injury free. Her heart’s desire is to help athletes and non-athletes alike get better and back to their passions.
Dr. Robin Gregory, DC
Dr. Robin Gregory started practice in Wichita, Ks in 2007 after graduating from Parker University, her focus has been in pediatrics, pregnancy, and family care. Dr. Gregory joined the Parker Wellness Clinics in May of 2019 where she is a Clinic Faculty Doctor and is honored to work with interns preparing them for CBI and practice.
