Grant Godfrey, Director of Admissions
Grant Godfrey has more than 14 years of experience in higher education. Mr. Godfrey started at Parker in June of 2012 in the admissions department as an admissions advisor and has worked his way up to Director of Admissions. Grant now oversees admissions in all degree programs and the doctor of chiropractic program. “When I started six years ago we were Parker College of Chiropractic, a year later we turned into a comprehensive university with 13 degree programs and counting. To see the growth, be a part of it, and know where we are headed has been an amazing experience. I manage a team of admissions advisors that are seasoned, who have put the time in to help piece together the puzzle of your education history to meet requirements in the most cost-effective and timely way and assist in relocating you to Dallas, TX. This team takes pride in the golden standard customer service #dreamteam. ” Grant enjoys traveling, working out (Parker fit) watching football (GO COWBOYS!) and likes fashion. The most important thing in his life, and keeps him on his toes, is his 16-year-old soccer star daughter.
Ginger Bonton, Director of Admissions
Ginger earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Philander Smith College. She has combined over eight years of experience working in the Education Field. In 2016 she joined Parker University as an Enrollment Advisor and was later promoted to an External Recruiter. Currently, she is the Director of Admissions for the College of Health Sciences/Business & Technology Department. She loves the family culture environment of Parker University. The faculty and staff make the student the number one priority. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and shopping.
Dr. Kenneth Thomas, B.S., M.S., D.C., C.C.S.P. Vice President of External Affairs
Dr. Kenneth Thomas, Vice President of External Affairs at Parker University is a 1986 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic and holds a master’s degree in physical therapy. While in private practice, Dr. Thomas owned an integrated health care system of Chiropractors, Physical Therapists and specialists allowing for a complete holistic health care approach for the patient. After thirty years of clinical and sports practice, he is a respected expert in the chiropractic field and lectures extensively on the use of modalities and exercise in chiropractic practice, as well as treatment of sports injuries, current trends in health care and various aspects of Chiropractic. He is a member of the Council of Chiropractic Education board and holds certifications in both Chiropractic Sports and Animal Chiropractic.
Vickie Fraley, Senior Enrollment Advisor
Vickie was born and raised in Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. She married in 1992 and moved to Texas and has been happily married for 26 years. Her son attends Texas Tech University. Vickie started working in College Admissions in 1989 and quickly realized her love and passion for advising students. She started working at Parker University in 2013 and feels at home with the Parker family, philosophy, and principles. In her spare time, she loves watching movies, shopping, gardening, eating out, and time spent with her family.
Tony Thompson, Senior Enrollment Advisor
Tony Thompson recently joined Parker University after 20 years with the Art Institute of Dallas as an Assistant Director of Admissions, and International student recruiter. Prior to the Art Institute, he served in The United States Army for 23 years, which included duties as a U.S. Army Recruiter with assignments in Germany, Washington D.C., Texas, Oklahoma, California, and Oregon. Tony is very excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Parker admissions team. He is married with 5 children and enjoys reading, travel, muscle cars, and riding his Harley in his free time.
Molly Schulze, Senior Enrollment Advisor
Molly was born in Omaha, NE, but raised all over the country, which gave her an appreciation for learning new things and meeting new people. She graduated with her BS and MS in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Molly and her husband, Dylan, moved to Fort Worth, TX to start his Doctorate in Chiropractic program at Parker University in the Fall of 2019. Going through this new chapter of life with her husband, she loves the values and standards Parker University upholds with their students and employees. Molly has been working with students for many years and enjoys sharing her passion of Chiropractic with current and future students of Parker University. Molly looks forward to the opportunity to help students reach their educational goals and has a unique perspective as the spouse of a current DC student. In her free time, she enjoys working out, being outside, spending time with family, friends and her pets.
Selam Getachew, Enrollment Advisor
Selam Getachew was born in Ethiopia and came to the United States in 1993. Due to her diverse background, she speaks three languages – English, Amharic, and Tigrigna.
Selam joined Parker University’s enrollment team in 2015 and truly enjoys motivating her students to achieve greatness.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old daughter, and non-profit work. Her interest includes listening to motivational speakers such as Zig Ziglar, Les Brown, Tony Robbins, and Dave Ramsey.
Lee Heward, Enrollment Advisor
Lee Heward is an Enrollment Advisor that brings 18 years of experience to Parker University. His experience in the field began as an International Admissions Counselor with University of Phoenix Online in Phoenix AZ. At UOP, he helped start up a sister school to UOP called Western International University. Lee has also had key positions with Miller Motte College before moving to Dallas, TX. where he took a position with the College of Health Care Professions and later with Retail Ready Career Center. Now with Parker University, he is excited for the opportunity to help students, and potential students alike meet their educational goals and dreams.
When Lee is not helping students, he enjoys spending time around the water with his wife and family!
Dominique Love, Enrollment Advisor
Dominique Love grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and then moved to Dallas, Texas in 2014. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Lane College an HBCU in Jackson, TN. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Healthcare Business Administration. Dominique has worked as an Admissions Counselor for eight years, and prior to Parker, she was a school teacher for Memphis City Schools.
Outside of Parker, Dominique enjoys worshipping at her church, traveling, and eating at different restaurants. She enjoys spending time with her husband John, and her son Harvey.
Yavierlis Cartagena Pérez, Enrollment Advisor
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, moved to Texas in 2017. She has a bachelor’s in science major in psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce, PR and a master’s in Counseling Psychology from Ana G. Méndez University in Gurabo, PR. Yavierlis is a bilingual -Spanish/English- professional that has worked in the past in Counseling with young adults, children and families. From 2018, Yavierlis has been working in higher education advising college students make informed decisions about their future.
Yavierlis loves reading, hearing podcast of motivational speakers and learning. Yavierlis enjoy spending time with her husband Luis, family and her friends.
Marco Jimenez, External Recruiter
Marco Jimenez was born and raised in Dallas. He served as a Staff Non-Commission Officer in the United States Marine Corps for 13 years and is a proud combat veteran. Suffering from minor and major injuries over the years, Marco Jimenez has become a great believer in Chiropractic and is passionate in helping grow this community by inspiring others. “Thanks to our creator above, Chiropractic has truly helped me live a healthier life style and I’m deeply passionate of Dr. Jim Parker’s first technique “loving service” as a faithful patient of chiropractic care.
Marco Jimenez joined the Parker University team in April, 2015 and is honored to be part of the success in helping lives with their paths.
Marvin Blakely, Community External Recruiter
Marvin Blakely has more than 16 years of experience in Higher Educational Recruitment Marketing and PR Events and Summer Camp Coordinator. The past 16 years Marvin has worked with with Creative students, Performing students, student athletes and students in the health Sciences all have goals and dreams.
In the past year Marvin Joined The Parker University External Recruitment team he is excited to work with students with a passion for helping and serving others in Health Care and Wellness at Parker University. Marvin Attended The Art Institute of Dallas for Photography & Design. His Hobbies are Motivational Public Speaking, Photography, Commercial Acting, Cycling and Fitness.
Michell Medellin, Senior Enrollment Advisor
Michell Medellin is a Texas girl, born and raised. She enjoys working out, eating a healthy plant based diet and is a certified personal trainer. She has a degree in Marketing from UNT, attended SMU for a Digital Marketing Certificate and took Graphic Design classes at The Art Institute. She has 10 years experience in student recruitment, sales and marketing.
Her career and life have come full circle. “I’ve been going to my same Chiropractor since 2005 and firmly believe in chiropractic and massage therapy. I love my Chiropractor!” she says. Additionally, Michell enjoys working with students and advising them to reach their career goals. Michell is a part of the Board of Director for her church as the Communications Director and co-director for health ministries at her church.
Michael Wilson, Enrollment Advisor
Michael Wilson was born in Dallas, TX and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He has over 20 years of experience working as a college admission professional. One of the highlights from his career includes eight years as a Senior Admissions Advisor for the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Michael understands the dedication and encouragement necessary to complete one’s lifelong goals. He always tells students “success is not a destination, but a journey”. When he is not helping others achieve their goals, he enjoys sports, cooking, spending time with family and thanks God daily for his blessings.
