Sexual Misconduct Policy & Complaint Resolution Procedures
Parker University is committed to providing a learning and working environment that promotes personal integrity, civility, and mutual respect in an environment free of discrimination on the basis of sex. The University considers sex discrimination in all its forms to be a serious offense. Sex discrimination constitutes a violation of this policy, is unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. Sex discrimination includes discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, gender identity, and failure to conform to stereotypical notions of femininity and masculinity.
Parker University is committed to providing a work environment that is free of harassment. Harassment, including sexual harassment, is contrary to basic standards of conduct between individuals and is prohibited by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) and state and federal regulations.Treating others with respect is a core expectation of Parker employees. As such, Parker maintains a strict policy that prohibits harassment in any form– whether committed by a supervisor, faculty member, staff member or vendors and visitors.Harassment includes, but is not limited to, verbal, physical, or visual conduct or contact that interferes with an individual’s work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment. Employees have an obligation to bring any observation of harassment to the attention of the university.
